MSA Announces EDITLife™ Transplant Management System for BMT Transplant Centers

Pittsburgh, PA – February 11, 2016 – Management Science Associates, Inc. (MSA), an industry-recognized leading developer and supplier of real-time data processing and analytical solutions, is pleased today to announce EDITLife™, a world-class transplant management system (TMS) that utilizes a patient-centric, data-driven approach to solve the challenges facing blood and marrow transplant (BMT) centers. EDITLife leverages MSA’s years of experience in maintaining management systems for premiere transplant centers across the United States.

“We are excited about how EDITLife will help our customers better understand and treat blood and marrow diseases and ultimately help people lead healthier lives,” said Tony Fontecchio, Vice President, MSA Life Sciences Division. “MSA understands the importance of providing innovative and leading-edge tools that automate and streamline the transplant process. Our healthcare technology experts designed EDITLife to allow users to put the focus back on patient care.”

With EDITLife, users can take control of their data. Everything needed to collect and manage transplant-related patient data is available in the TMS. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other interfaces minimize duplicate data entry, reduce errors and increase data accuracy. Easy access to comprehensive, real-time views of patient data supports faster, better clinical decisions. Checklists and patient lists ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and help users stay on top of important due dates and manage their workflow. A user-friendly query interface and advanced reporting tools make it easy to submit registry (CIBMTR) forms and respond to regulatory audits.

Other powerful features include inter-connected screens that walk you through source selection, mobilization, collection and product inventory. Built-in algorithms, such as those that calculate if/when engraftment occurs, simplify the conditioning and infusion processes, and monitor post-transplant conditions. Standard and ad-hoc reporting capabilities, along with Tasks, Messages, Lab Notifications, and auto-generated letters and labels, make it easier than ever to communicate with patients as well as internal and external care team members and organizations.

MSA will launch EDITLife at the 2016 BMT Tandem Meeting, February 18-22, in Honolulu. BMT program administrators and clinicians are invited to visit the MSA booth #324 throughout the event for a demo of how EDITLife will improve their center’s performance.
