Attendees had positive reviews of the event, appreciating the actionable information presented: “I enjoyed it very much and took lessons away that I will apply, and look to (work with) MSA as a partner to help us move forward on initiatives for greater analytics in the future.”

John Dick, Co-Founder and CEO of CivicScience, whose presentation, “Research Through the Windshield, Not the Rearview Mirror” explained how to view research with a forward view and examine whether the expectations of astute consumers can be a reliable judge of an asset’s future consumption and popularity.
Jack Phillips, Co-Founder and CEO of the International Institute for Analytics, presented “Indexing Analytical Excellence: How Top Performers are Winning with Analytics” which provided a framework for an analytical maturity assessment as well as an examination of where the CPG industry overall compares to other verticals.
Scott Houser, CEO of Nutonian, shared information on putting artificial intelligence to work to solve retailers’ most pressing data driven problems, and what CPG manufacturers need to know to remain competitive in his presentation “Automate Data-driven Discovery with Machine Intelligence."
Also included in the event was a panel discussion, led by Co-Founder and CEO of Othot and Adjunct Professor at Pitt Business, Andy Hannah. The panel was comprised of senior- and graduate-school level students in analytic and technical fields, sharing their perspective on “Hiring and Retaining Top Talent” in an age when demand exceeds supply.
